Kenseth wins Late Model race:

Matt Kenseth won the All-Star 50, a late-model stock car race held at the Milwaukee Mile, on Sunday. Kenseth broke the late-model track record in qualifying before starting the race in the eighth position after the top eight in qualifying started in inverse order. Kenseth quickly rushed up to second place just eight laps into the feature race, then took the lead for good halfway through the event with a pass into the first turn. It was Kenseth’s first win at the track in 12 races — including eight in late models (including ASA) and four in the Busch series. Dean Cornelius, a 23-year-old from Minnesota, finished second, Dan Fredrickson was third and Jesse Saunders of New Glarus was fourth. (Capital Times)(8-27-2007)
