After eight seasons with Brewco Motorsports Stewart Cooper has opted for a change. Beginning this weekend at Lowe’s Motor Speedway Shawn Parker has taken over crew chief duties on the #37 Ford while Cooper has plans to move on with another team. Beginning next week Cooper will make the move to Braun Racing and will debut on the # 38 Toyota of Jason Leffler in Memphis. Current crew chief Todd Lohse will take over the role of competition director for Braun for the 2008 season with Cooper more than likely taking over as the shot caller. Parker added that as the teams look towards the 2008 season a driver announcement – which is rumored within the garage to be Brad Coleman – for the #27 is expected within a few weeks and the #37 team is still in negotiations.
