Hillman to Crew Chief for Musgrave at Atlanta:

Germain Racing announces this week that Mike Hillman Sr., who has two NASCAR championships to his credit, will serve as crew chief for Ted Musgrave and the Team ASE/Germain Toyota Tundra starting with this weekend’s Easy Care Vehicle Service Contracts 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. He takes over duties for Rick Gay, Jr. “Rick Gay and Germain Racing have parted ways. We are very thankful for all Rick brought to the team. Rick had some other opportunities he wanted to pursue, and we amicably decided to part ways,” said Mike Hillman Sr., general manager of Germain Racing. Hillman is one of the foundation blocks of Germain Racing. With Hillman at the reigns, the Germain brothers Steve, Bob and Rick formed what became the 2006 championship-winning Toyota Tundra team, Germain Racing. Hillman served as crew chief of Germain Racing’s #30 Tundra until he gave the role to his son, Mike Hillman Jr., in 2005. Hillman has served as the team’s general manager since then.(Germain Racing PR)(10-24-2007)
