When the Northern Tool + Equipment Ford of Erik Darnell hits the track at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend, it will do so with a new look. The winning scheme from Northern Tool’s “Paint My Ride” promotion will adorn the #99, marking the first time that a special paint scheme has been run on the Roush Fenway Racing entry this season. Northern Tool + Equipment launched the “Paint My Ride” promotion in September, challenging aspiring designers to come up with their own paint scheme for Darnell’s #99. When the dust settled, Jim and Kevin Cargo of Oswego, Ill. and their scheme “Bringin’ the Heat” were chosen as the winners.(Roush Fenway Racing PR).
