Contrary to recent reports within the NASCAR community, Wyler-Gaughan Racing, LLC has not committed to a driver or sponsor for the #60 Toyota Tundra that will be fielded in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series next year by the newly formed team. “We are still looking at all opportunities that are out there,” said General Manager, Tom Buzze. “We want to put the best combination together for our 60 team with solid funding and a qualified driver. Although we have been in talks with several drivers and sponsors, nothing has been finalized yet and we are currently entertaining all options.” The clarification comes just two weeks after Jeff Wyler, who currently fields the #60 Toyota for Wyler Racing and Michael Gaughan, Owner of the #77 entry for South Point Racing announced that their NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams would merge at season’s end to form WGR. The newly formed partnership was announced on October 29th and will field two full-time entries in the Truck Series along with a part-time effort in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 2008.(Wyler-Gaughan Racing PR)(11-12-2007)
