#11-Denny Hamlin won the 2nd Gatorade Duel 150 qualifying race Thursday at Daytona International Speedway. Hamlin just beat #20-Tony Stewart, who finished 2nd and pushed Hamlin past #24-Jeff Gordon on the final lap for the win. Gordon was third, followed by #9-Kasey Kahne, #8-Mark Martin, #6-David Ragan, #29-Kevin Harvick, #16-Greg Biffle, #44-Dale Jarrett and #34-John Andretti. Jarrett clinched the first of the two spots available to drivers out of the top 35 in points from last year and Andretti got past #00-David Reutimann on the last lap to get the other spot. Reutimann earned a spot based on his qualifying lap last Sunday and will start 42nd. Ironically, the top three finishers all had backup engines and had to start at the rear of the field. There were 14 lead changes amoung 9 drivers and 3 cautions for 15 laps.
