#99-Carl Edwards won the UAW-Dodge 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway winning his 2nd race in a row and 9th of his career, taking over the points lead with the win. #88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished 2nd followed by #16-Greg Biffle, #29-Kevin Harvick, #31-Jeff Burton, #9-Kasey Kahne, #6-David Ragan, #28-Travis Kvapil, #11-Denny Hamlin and #8-Mark Martin. Former points leader and pole sitter, #18-Kyle Busch finished 11th. #24-Jeff Gordon tangled with #17-Matt Kenseth with a few laps to go, going for 2nd place and crashed out, finishing 35th and falling to 22nd in points. 2007 Champ, #48-Jimmie Johnson was not a factor all race and finished 29th. $20-Tony Stewart crashed hard around lap 107 and finished 43rd/last.
