#19-Elliott Sadler won the pole for the Sprint Showdown at Lowe’s Motor Speedway with a speed of 185.014mph. #83-Vickers will start 2nd, followed by #6-Ragan, #84-Allmediner, #7-Gordon, #22-Blaney, #78-Nemechek, #77-Hornish Jr., #66-Riggs and #28-Kvapil. #19-Carpentier spun off turn 4 during his 1st lap, but didn’t hit anything. Not so lucky was #37-Kenny Wallace, who lost it in turn 2 on his 2nd lap and backed hard into the wall, the team has withdrawn from the race, so there will be 27 cars in the race.
