Colin Braun was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the May 16 North Carolina Education Lottery 200 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Braun scored a 15th-place finish and claimed top rookie honors for the third time this season. Braun led the race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway once for three laps. He is the only first-year driver to lead a lap in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2008. Braun enjoys an eight-point lead (64-56) over Justin Marks in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the May 24 Ohio 250 at Mansfield Motorsports Park. Kevin Hamlin was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2007 Ohio 250, scoring a 10th-place finish. The best finish by a Raybestos Rookie in four Craftsman Truck Series races at Mansfield is fourth by Todd Kluever in 2005.
