Andretti sticking with Indy Cars for next two weeks:

John Andretti, who replaced rookie Jay Howard at Roth Racing for the Indianapolis 500, will keep the job for at least two more weeks. Andretti, 45, will make his first IndyCar Series start in a race other than the 500 in Sunday’s A.J. Foyt 225 at the Milwaukee Mile. He’ll also be in the No. 24 car next week at Texas Motor Speedway.(Indianapolis Star), Andretti had been attempting top make the Cup races with #34 Front Row Motorsports the first ten Cup races of the season [making the races at Daytona, California and Texas]. Jeff Green attempted to make the races at Darlington and Charlotte but failed to qualify, Tony Raines made the race at Dover and since he tested at Pocono for the team this past week, Raines could run the car there, but is scheduled to be back in the #08 Dodge for EM Motorsports for Michigan in June. No word if Andretti will return to the #34 after the Texas Indy Car race.(5-31-2008)
