In 2007, #2-Busch was 17th in the points, 88 points from the 12th spot (in 2007 the drivers in the chase increased from 10 to 12) In 2006, #11-Hamlin was 11th in points, 80 points from the 10th spot In 2005, #17-Kenseth was 22nd in points, a whopping 278 points from the 10th spot In 2004, #19-Mayfiend was 15th in points, 99 points from the 10th spot. This year there are 13 drivers within 278 points of the 12th spot after 13 races The drivers who won the last four Sprint Cup Chase Championships were no deeper then 6th after 13 races: #48-Jimmie Johnson was 2nd in 2007 #48-Jimmie Johnson was 1st in 2006 #20-Tony Stewart was 5th in 2005 #97-[now in the #2]-Kurt Busch was 6th in 2004 after 13 races.
