Skinner gets new crew chief UPDATE Lax on interim basis:

Mike Skinner got a surprise when he reached the garage area at Memphis Motorsports Park on Friday — he had a new crew chief. Bill Davis Racing recently folded its ARCA series team when rookie Michael Annett graduated to the Truck Series. On Thursday, it was announced the Annett’s crew chief Joe Lax was taking over as crew chief for Skinner’s team. Skinner was 13th fastest in the first practice with a best lap of 114.538 mph. UPDATE: On SPEED/TV’s prerace report, Krista Voda reported that Jeff Hensley is still with BDR; Joe Lax will be Skinner’s crew chief on an interim basis. Mike Skinner added that Jeff Hensley is not at the track due to an illness in the family.(6-28-2008)
