Alex Garcia, driver of the #98 Dixien/OmniSource Chevy, will be making his second start of the 2008 season when his team hits the track at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. Garcia’s first start of the season was in Mexico City. For the second time this season, the #98 Dixien/OmniSource Chevy will be carrying the logos of The Wayu Tay Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by actress and model Patricia Velsquez, which assists the Latin American indigenous people, focusing primarily on those in Venezuela. Garcia, originally from Caracas, became involved with the organization in 2007 after he became the first Venezuelan to race is NASCAR. In appreciation of the fans in Montreal, the 98 will be sporting a Quebec flag and a very special message on the rear deck lid: “Merci Fans!”(Transnet Racing PR)(7-29-2008)
