Clauson hopes to make Cup debut at LMS:

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced it has partnered with Sony Computer Entertainment America and its long-time sponsor Target to have MotorStorm Pacific Rift on Bryan Clauson’s #40 Dodge in his Sprint Cup Series (NSCS) debut at Lowe’s Motor Speedway (LMS) on October 11. Clauson, a 19-year-old from Noblesville, Ind., has been competing in the Nationwide Series (NNS) throughout this 2008 season, driving the #40 Fastenal Dodge. He made his career-first Nationwide start in September 2007 at Richmond, and has tallied 23 NNS starts since. To-date, the teen racer has collected one pole, one top-five and two top-10 finishes. Clauson scored his first career stock car victory in the ARCA Series at Gateway in his fifth career ARCA start. MotorStorm Pacific Rift, which will be released Tuesday October 28, takes you to a solitary tropical paradise in the Pacific Ocean, ready for a whole new take on no-holds-barred racing action through thick swamps, dense jungle, towering peaks and steaming volcanoes. Not just pretty backdrops to the action, these environments take center stage in challenging players with everything in Mother Nature’s arsenal. Thick mud, tangled undergrowth, swift flowing rivers, choking volcanic clouds and searing lava pools all test the drivers to their limits and beyond.(CGRFS PR), this will be the first race for the #40 CGRFS team since it suspended operations after the 17th race of the season. The team is not in the Top-35 in owners points and must qualify on speed to make the race at LMS.(10-8-2008)
