David Reutimann won the Coors Light Pole Award for the FORD 400 with a lap of 31.462 seconds, 171.636 mph. This is his first pole in 63 Sprint Cup Series races. This is his first pole and fifth top-10 start in 2008. He became the 23rd driver to win poles in all three national series. This is his first pole in two races at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Scott Speed (second) posted his career first top-10 in his first race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Matt Kenseth (third) posted his second top-10 start at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
