readers been emailing about Super 8 Motel’s being Bobby Labonte’s new sponsor, based off a Coca Cola ad/photo on their site which has Labonte dressed in a Super 8 Motel driver suit. But have been told that the photo shoot was in October 2008 when Labonte was still with Petty Enterprises and that Super 8, an associate sponsor with the Petty’s, have not been in contact with Labonte since. Supposedly, if Super 8 does sponsor a car, it may have a four race deal with the #43 car that is probably still in place and came over with the #43 in the GEM-Petty merger. Kyle Petty, a driver without a ride in 2009, is wearing a Victory Junction Gang Camp drivers suit, while the rest have on 2009 sponsors.(1-13-2009)
