Patrick Carpentier will participate in the NASCAR Nationwide Series NAPA 200 that will be presented on the Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve in August, driving Michael Waltrip Racing’s #99 Toyota, usually driven by Scott Speed or Waltrip himself. According to two sources close to the team contacted by RueFrontenac.com, Carpentier will sport the colors of NAPA Auto Parts in the #99 prepared by crew chief Jerry Baxter. The team hopes that their collaboration with Carpentier in Montreal is not an isolated event. “We have not yet made a decision about this, but Patrick is also an excellent choice as a driver for the other road race at Watkins Glen this season.
