Samsung has taken Billy Ballew Motorsports up on its offer. After Samsung officials read a story in Wednesday’s editions of The Kansas City Star in which Ballew was making $150,000 worth of sponsorships available on his two NASCAR Camping World Series trucks for just $25,000, they contacted the race team and agreed to a deal for this weekend at Kansas Speedway. Ballew’s series-leading #51 truck, driven by Brian Ickler, and the #15, driven by Shane Sieg, will be sponsored by the Samsung Instinct, which is the company’s touch-tone phone with Sprint. Samsung is the title sponsor of the Samsung 500 NASCAR Nextel Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway.(Kansas City Star)(4-23-2009)
