#20-Joey Logano was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the May 9 Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway. Logano scored a ninth-place finish, his second top-10 of the 2009 season. He equaled his best effort in 14 Sprint Cup Series races and captured top Raybestos Rookie honors for the eighth time this season. Logano led once for 19 laps at Darlington and became the first Raybestos Rookie to lead a lap at Darlington since Kasey Kahne led three times for 24 laps in the 2004 spring race. Logano has led four times in three races for 24 laps this season. Logano leads #82-Scott Speed by 12 points (122-110) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the May 24 Coca-Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway. Kenseth is the only Raybestos Rookie to win in 49 previous Coca-Cola 600 races. Kenseth captured the 2000 race by .573-seconds over Bobby Labonte. Jimmie Johnson is the only Raybestos Rookie to win the pole position in 49 previous Coca-Cola 600 races.
