This is his third pole in 76 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his second pole and seventh top-10 start in 2009. This is his first pole in four races at Dover International Speedway. Kasey Kahne (second) posted his seventh top-10 start of 2009 and his third in 11 races at Dover International Speedway. Juan Pablo Montoya (third) posted his second top-10 start at Dover International Speedway. It is his fifth in 13 races this season.
