As the NASCAR Nationwide Series heads to Nashville Superspeedway this weekend for the Federated Auto Parts 300, many of the residents of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and surrounding areas are still feeling the effects of a tornado that touched down during the April 2009 race weekend. Nationwide Insurance along with NASCAR and the Nashville Superspeedway have teamed up to support the local American Red Cross Nashville Chapter. RAB Racing and John Wes Townley, driver of the #09 Zaxby’s Ford, are stepping up to support future disaster relief efforts by announcing a personal challenge. Along with collecting donations through the RAB Racing team, Co-Owner and General Manager, Robby Benton and driver, John Wes Townley have agreed to donate a portion of the teams winnings following the Federated Auto Parts 300 at Nashville Superspeedway to the Nashville Area Chapter of the American Red Cross. In honor of the Red Cross, their logo will be displayed on the rear quarter panel of the #09 Zaxby’s Ford this weekend.(RAB Racing PR)(6-5-2009)
