The NASCAR Nationwide Series makes its only appearance of the season at Kentucky Speedway this weekend and ESPN2 will have a live, high definition telecast from the 1.5-mile track on Saturday, June 13, at 8 p.m. ET as the series races for 300 miles. ESPN2 is the home of the NASCAR Nationwide Series all season, with selected races on ESPN and ABC. The race re-airs Sunday, June 14, at 8 a.m. on ESPN Classic. Also this weekend, ESPN2 airs coverage of NASCAR Nationwide Series qualifying at 5 p.m. on Saturday, as well as a practice session on Friday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. The race is the second of four events that make up the Nationwide Insurance Dash 4 Cash, a competition program involving four stand-alone races on the NASCAR Nationwide Series this season and providing Nationwide Series drivers an opportunity to race for their own bonus program. In the Kentucky race, if an eligible driver takes the victory, he will receive an additional $25,000 bonus from Nationwide. At the end of the season, the eligible driver with the highest accumulated points from the four races will win an additional $50,000. Dr. Jerry Punch will be the lap-by-lap announcer, joined in the booth for analysis by Rusty Wallace and Andy Petree. Reporting from the pits will be Jamie Little, Mike Massaro and Vince Welch, with Tim Brewer in the ESPN Craftsman Tech Garage. Allen Bestwick will host the pre-race NASCAR Countdown program with analysis by Wallace and Brad Daugherty in the ESPN pit studio.(ESPN PR)(6-8-2009)
