#20-Joey Logano was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the August 16 CARFAX 400 at Michigan International Speedway. Logano scored a seventh-place finish, his fifth top-10 of the season and claimed top rookie honors for the 17th time in 2009. Logano leads #82-Scott Speed by 26 points (212-186) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the August 22 Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway. All three members of the 2009 Raybestos Rookie class have scored at least one top-10 finish. The best finish by a Raybestos Rookie in the night race at Bristol is second by Kevin Harvick in 2001. Since 1975, only one Raybestos Rookie has won the pole position for the August race at Bristol: Tony Stewart (1999 Sharpie 500). Stewart is the most recent Raybestos Rookie to lead a lap in the Sharpie 500. No first-year driver has led a lap in any of the past nine night races at Bristol. The most recent Raybestos Rookie to score a top-five finish is Joey Logano, who won the 2009 LENOX Industrial Tools 301 (seven races).
