WinStar World Casino has decided to “double down” with Texas Motor Speedway. WinStar World Casino has secured the title sponsorship for the fall NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Texas Motor Speedway, giving the expansive Oklahoma gaming facility the title rights for both truck series events at the world-class motorsports venue in Fort Worth. WinStar World Casino replaces Chevrolet Silverado as title sponsor for the Nov. 6 Camping World Truck Series race and the evening event will be known as the WinStar World Casino 350k.(Texas Motor Speedway PR)(8-25-2009)
Yeley injured in Saturday night race: J.J. Yeley reportedly suffered three broken vertebrae during a crash at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan. on Saturday night. Yeley was competing in a race in the Sprint Bandits Series at the half-mile dirt Lakeside track when he was involved in a wreck early in the feature event. Yeley’s car flipped in Turn 1, said Lakeside owner Marc Olson. The flip did not look severe but Yeley complained about neck pain. Yeley was transported to a local hospital late Saturday night.
