Dover Rookie Notes:


Justin Allgaier was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway. Allgaier posted an eighth-place finish, his 11th top-10 of the season. He grabbed top rookie honors for the eighth time in 2009.
At least one Raybestos Rookie has scored a top-10 finish in 23 of 27 NASCAR Nationwide Series races this season.
Justin Allgaier leads Brendan Gaughan by 16 points (215-199) entering the Dover 200 at Dover International Speedway.
Threee Raybestos Rookies are in the top-10 in the NASCAR Nationwide Series championship standings. Allgaier is fifth followed by Gaughan (eighth) and Michael McDowell (tenth).
Two Raybestos Rookies have won pole positions during the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series season: Gaughan and Erik Darnell.
Landon Cassill was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2008 Dover 200, scoring a 25th-place finish.
Bryan Clauson was the only Raybestos Rookie to lead a lap in the 2008 fall race at Dover, leading once for one lap.
The most freshman drivers to finish in the top-10 in the fall race at Dover are three in 2005: Reed Soreneson (fourth), Denny Hamlin (sixth) and Carl Edwards (ninth).
Johnny Benson (1994) is the only Raybestos Rookie to win the fall race at Dover (20 previous races). Benson edged Harry Gant for his first career NASCAR Nationwide Series win.
