Kevin Hamlin had been scheduled to drive the Front Row Motorsports #37 this weekend at Auto Club Speedway. However, according to SPEED’s qualifying coverage, NASCAR did not approve him to race. Even though he has driven at California before and on superspeedways, NASCAR determined that he did not have enough experience in the COT to make his first Sprint Cup start at California. Tony Raines took over the ride, but did not qualify.(10-10-2009)
