Teams in the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series will be running the same combination of left- and right-side tires at Charlotte this weekend . . . this is the same tire combination that NASCAR teams ran at Charlotte this past May . . . this is the only track at which teams will run this left-side tire code (D-4248), though they did run this right-side code (D-4234) at Las Vegas earlier this season . . . Goodyear did conduct one tire test at Charlotte this year, that being before the May races . . . Sprint Cup drivers participating in that March 17-18 test were Marcos Ambrose (Toyota), Jimmie Johnson (Chevrolet), Kasey Kahne (Dodge) and Paul Menard (Ford) . . . as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Charlotte . . . air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire. The estimated Sprint Cup Series at LMS pit window is every 50-55 laps, based on fuel mileage ().(Goodyear), for tire pressures, codes, more, see my Lowe’s Racin Info page – Goodyear section.(10-15-2009)
