Derek White, a Native American (Mohawk) that hails from Kahnawake, an Indian reserve near Montreal, Quebec, will make his first series start in the #12 DGM Racing Chevy at Martinsville. White has prior experience in various forms of motorsports including: 22 yrs ice racing (cars), 20 yrs drag racing (Pro-Stocks–7 second quarter mile cars), motocross, etc. In the past year he began competing in Canada by participating in events with the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series and the A.C.T. Series. He owns and operates O.C.R. Gaz Bar which is a full service gas-convenience store in his region. That is the primary sponsor for him this weekend at Martinsville. O.C.R. Gaz Bar was also the primary sponsor for Mario Gosselin at the Iowa event earlier this year.(DGM Racing PR)(10-21-2009)
