Robert Richardson Jr. will attempt to qualify for his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway behind the wheel of Tommy Baldwin Racing’s #36 Toyota. Richardson Jr. has four career starts at the famed Alabama track. He has posted a top-20 finish in all four outings at the 2.66-mile superspeedway. The 26-year-old driver has completed 98 percent of the laps he has attempted and has led one lap around the monstrous track. Mahindra Tractors will appear as the primary sponsor of the #36 Toyota as they attempt to run all 188 laps this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway.(TBR/Everest-Marketing Group)(10-27-2009)
UPDATE: Wave Energy Drink announced their support of Mahindra Tractors as the primary sponsor on Tommy Baldwin’s #36 Toyota this weekend at Talladega. Though Wave recently announced their sponsorship extends through the remainder of the 2009 season, this event was previously sold into Baldwin’s program. Wave will still be on the car as an associate sponsor at Talladega. “We welcome them on board and wish Robert Richardson and Mahindra Tractors all the best this weekend at Talladega,” said Jason Wolter, Wave VP of Marketing. “We’re glad that Tommy [Baldwin] has some additional support for this event-anything that makes his program stronger helps us all bring synergy to a deserving program,” he added.(Wave Energy Drink)(10-28-2009)
