Ron Hornaday will be behind the wheel of the #33 Longhorn Chevrolet for Kevin Harvick Inc. at the season opener next Friday, February 12th, at Daytona Int’l Speedway. “Since I first sat behind the wheel of a race car I wanted to go to Daytona. I know a lot of drivers say that, but driving through the tunnel at Daytona always gives me chills. To win a race at Daytona would fulfill a dream. It would be a great accomplishment,” said Hornaday. Dave Fuge has joined KHI and the #33 team as crew chief for the 2010 season with Longhorn returning as sponsor. UPDATE: Kevin Harvick Inc. announced today Longhorn Moist Snuff, will rejoin Ron Hornaday and the #33 Kevin Harvick Inc. team for nine races in 2010. KHI will also carry the Longhorn brand colors for the inaugural Nationwide Series race at Road America on June 19th. In 2009, Hornaday recorded six wins, 15 top-five and 20 top-10 finishes on the way to his fourth NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship (2009, 2007, 1998 and 1996) and KHI’s second championship (2009 and 2007).
