  • #5-Mark Martin: Hendrick Motorsports Chassis #5-523 for Sunday’s race. Martin drove this chassis five times last season, including to Victory Lane at Michigan International Speedway in June.
    #6-David Ragan: Primary Chassis: RK-617 Ran Charlotte in 2009 as the #26 ‘“ finished 33rd; Backup: RK-676, ran Homestead in 2009 as the #26 ‘“ finished 18th, The Beach Center (SLIC – 9024) in the South California District was selected as the Maximum Center for the February 21 Auto Club 500 at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California. The center is recognized for their achievements on the district’s Balanced Scorecard in 2009. Of the total 19 elements measured, 10 were 100 percent effective.
    #11-Denny Hamlin: The #11 FedEx team will unload Chassis JGR 256 this weekend in California. This car last raced in Charlotte during the 2009 Chase when engine troubles relegated Hamlin to a 42nd-place finish. Chassis 246 sat on the pole at Auto Club last fall and will serve as the backup this weekend. The #11 FedEx Freight Toyota will carry the letters WHT on the B-posts for Sunday’s Auto Club 500 in recognition of the FedEx Freight service center in Whittier. The center is being recognized for best accident and injury performance within the greater San Bernardino region.
    #12-Brad Keselowski: The #12 AAA Insurance Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-713 during Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series Auto Club 500 at Auto Club Speedway. PRS-713 is a brand new chassis to the #12 Dodge team.
    #14-Tony Stewart: Chassis #14-564 debuted at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth last November, where it delivered a strong performance by qualifying fourth and finishing sixth. The 2009 season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway marked the car’s second career start. There, it qualified fifth and led twice for 43 laps before two separate on-track incidents with Juan Pablo Montoya relegated it to a 22nd-place finish. Its most recent action came Jan. 19-20 when it was used for a Goodyear tire test at Texas.
    #17-Matt Kenseth: RFR’s #17 Ford team will bring primary car RK-657 along with the backup RK-612
    #18-Kyle Busch: Chassis #265 is a brand new race car that has never turned a wheel on the racetrack. It has, however, been tested in the wind tunnel.
    #29-Kevin Harvick: Harvick will pilot chassis #288 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Shell-Pennzoil Chevy first raced at Auto Club Speedway last season, posting its first top-10 finish. Harvick piloted this #29 Chevy in three other races last fall finishing 18th at Charlotte Motor Speedway, fifth at Texas Motor Speedway and third in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
    #31-Jeff Burton: will pilot chassis #291 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This is a brand new Caterpillar Chevrolet Impala that will be put through its first paces this weekend.
    #33-Clint Bowyer: Clint Bowyer will pilot Chassis #257 from Richard Childress Racing’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. Bowyer piloted this #33 Chevy twice last season, finishing sixth at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October and seventh at Texas Motor Speedway in November. In July 2008, this former #07 racer made its debut at Indianapolis Motor Speedway where Bowyer finished 19th. #39-Ryan Newman: Chassis #39-531 last saw action at Charlotte Motor Speedway in October. Newman qualified sixth and had a strong racecar. However, pit-road issues kept Newman mired in traffic and led to an 11th-place finish. Prior to its run in the NASCAR Banking 500 in October, Newman piloted the car during a thrilling run in last May’s Sprint All-Star race at Charlotte. Newman was battling for the lead with less than 10 laps to go, he got tangled up with two other cars, which sent Newman into the wall and ended the team’s day. The team repaired the damaged bodywork, and Newman returned to the track at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, Ill., in July, where he finished sixth. In the offseason, crew chief Tony Gibson & Company reworked chassis #39-531. The original body was cut off the car. The car was lightened and the bodywork was rebuilt.
    #48-Jimmie Johnson
    Johnson will pilot chassis #553 in Sunday’s event. He has three starts in that car, collecting two wins (Indy, Calif. 2009) and a fifth-place finish (Homestead 2009). Johnson last drove backup chassis #534 to a 13th-place result at Pocono Raceway last August.
