After winning three of five races this season, #48-Jimmie Johnson has now won seven of the last 14, a NASCAR-best since Jeff Gordon won seven of nine in the summer of 1998. Supposedly the only other time this has happened in the modern era [1972 to present] was in 1987 when Dale Earnhardt won 6 of 8 and seven of the first 14.
