Cook to support Autism Speeaks at Texas:

  • Terry Cook is anxious to arrive at Texas for this weekends Samsung Mobile 500 for at least three reasons: the first is he and the #46 Whitney Motorsports team is coming off their first Sprint Cup race in which they were running at the finish, a race in which Cook led a lap, at Phoenix; secondly is Texas is where Cook has more experience than any other in his Camping World Truck Series career and where he earned his first top-ten finish in 1998; and third hes excited at the chance to continue to spread the word about Autism awareness by carrying the Autism Speaks logo in front of a large audience. Cook has made 24 career Camping World Truck Series starts at Texas, with seven top-ten finishes (including his first career series top-ten in June, 1998). His best finish is sixth, twice (October, 1999 and October, 2008). Cook again will carry the Autism Speaks logo on the hood and TV panel of the #46 Dodge this weekend hoping to gain exposure during Autism Awareness Month.(Whitney Motorsports)(4-16-2010)
