#1-Jamie McMurray: Crew Chief Kevin “Bono” Manion has decided to bring Chassis #031 to Pocono Raceway. This is the chassis that McMurray drove to the pole position at Auto Club Speedway. The car carries McDonald’s colors this week
#2-Kurt Busch driver Kurt Busch, crew chief Steve Addington and the “Blue Deuce” crew are racing their “PRS-704” Miller Lite Dodge in this weekend’s action at Pocono Raceway. This car debuted in the Auto Club 500 at Fontana, Calif., on Feb. 21. Busch started 12th and finished sixth in that race, which is its only race to date. Also, the #2 Dodge will carry the Miller Lite Vortex paint scheme again, Busch said it’ll be on the car more races this summer.
#5-Mark Martin: crew chief Alan Gustafson has chosen Chassis No. 5-582 for Sunday’s race at Pocono. This is the same chassis that Martin drove to a 16th-place finish at Darlington Raceway last month.
#6-David Ragan: Primary: RK-670 Last ran Bristol ‘Â finished 29th; Backup: RK-633 Last ran Michigan ‘Â finished 30. The Harrisburg East Center (1711) has been selected as the Maximum Center for the June 6th Pocono race. The Center has made 10 out of 12 Balance Scorecard Elements YTD, on top of exceeding POA on the BSC elements.
#98-Paul Menard: Crew chief Slugger Labbe and the #98 Richard Petty Motorsports crew have prepared chassis No. 561 for this weekend’s event. This is a brand new car specifically prepared for this weekend’s 500-mile race at Pocono Raceway.
#11-Denny Hamlin: and the FedEx team will unload Chassis JGR 267 this weekend in Pocono. This car has two starts this season ‘Â Martinsville and Darlington ‘Â and has ended each race in Victory Lane. JGR 256 will serve as the backup this weekend. Minneapolis FedEx Freight Service Center Along for the Ride in Pocono: The #11 FedEx Freight Toyota will carry the letters MSP on the B-posts this weekend at Pocono in honor of the Minneapolis (Mn.) Service Center.
#12-Brad Keselowski: The #12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-726 during Sunday’s 500-mile race at Pocono Raceway. Brad Keselowski drove this chassis to a 14th-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April.
#14-Tony Stewart: is running Chassis #14-509, a carryover chassis from the former Haas CNC team, with a new body installed prior to the 2009 season. Its first track time came via a Goodyear tire test on May 25, 2008 at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. Its first race came in July at Chicago, where Jason Leffler started 43rd and finished 27th. (Qualifying was rained-out, field was set by qualifying attempts) It was tested again on Sept. 23, 2008 at Charlotte, but sat idle until making its Stewart-Haas Racing debut in April 2009 at Texas where Stewart, started 7th and finished 4th; then in June at Michigan, where Stewart qualified 11th and finished 7th; then Kansas where Stewart qualified 5th and won the race; the fifth career start was in October at Charlotte, where it qualified 5th and finished 13th. It has been fitted with a new body for 2010 and tested in the wind tunnel.
#17-Matt Kenseth: primary chassis for the #17 Crown Royal Black Ford will be Primary: RK-625, no word on where it may had run before.
#18-Kyle Busch: this will be the 4th start dor Chassis #251: This chassis made its debut at New Hampshire last September, where Busch qualified third and brought home a solid fifth-place finish. Busch followed that up with a solid fourth-place run in last October’s race at Martinsville after starting way back in the 41st spot. In its most recent run, Busch qualified 17th and led 113 laps in Phoenix finishing 8th.
#29-Kevin Harvick: will pilot Chassis No. 309 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Shell-Pennzoil Chevrolet is a completely brand new car which will see its first laps on the track during Friday’s practice session.
#31-Jeff Burton: will pilot Chassis No. 302 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. Built new for 2010, Burton drove this Caterpillar Chevy to a 12th-place finish at Texas. Most recently, the veteran driver piloted this #31 racer to a runner-up finish at Dover International Speedway three weeks ago.
#33-Clint Bowyer: will pilot Chassis No. 298 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This Chevrolet, built new in 2010, made its debut at Atlanta finishing 23rd.
#39-Ryan Newman Chassis No. 39-508 saw action for the #39 team three times during the 2009 season. It made its debut at Atlanta in September. Newman started 23rd and finished 9th. The car’s second outing, in October at Kansas resulted in a 22nd-place finish. The third outing at Texas in a12th-place effort. During the offseason, the original body was cut off the car. The car was made lighter and the bodywork was rebuilt. The car has served as a backup twice this season ‘Â Atlanta in March and the All-Star race at Charlotte ‘Â but this weekend will mark the first laps for chassis 39-508 in 2010.
#42-Juan Pablo Montoya: Crew Chief Brian Pattie and the #42 team will bring chassis #910 to Pocono Raceway this weekend. Montoya last drove this chassis to a 37th-place finish after being involved in an accident at Las Vegas Motor Speedway while running in the top-10. This chassis also ran at Homestead-Miami Speedway in the 2009 season finale where a mid-race incident forced the team to a 38th-place finish.
#43-A.J. Allmendinger: The #43 Richard Petty Motorsports team led by crew chief Mike Shiplett has prepared chassis No. 288 for this weekend’s event at Pocono Raceway. This is the same chassis the car ran earlier this season at Bristol and again several weeks ago at Dover. The #43 car will be the only Richard Petty Motorsports car running the new Ford FR9 engine this weekend in Pocono. All four RPM drivers are scheduled to run it the following weekend at Michigan International Speedway.
#48-Jimmie Johnson: Primary chassis #558 was last driven to a 16th-place result at Dover in May. Backup chassis No. 553 has been driven four times, three of which resulted in victories (Indy 7/09, California 10/09, California 2/10).
#88-Dale Earnhardt Jr.: This weekend at Pocono, crew chief Lance McGrew and the #88 team will unload Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 88-584. Earnhardt picked up the pole position at Atlanta Motor Speedway and went on to score a 15th-place finish with this chassis in March.
#99-Carl Edwards: The #99 team will be bringing chassis RK-558 this weekend at Pocono. This is the same Ford Fusion that Edwards raced at Darlington in May and finished 15th. The team will debut the Kellogg’s paint scheme for the first of two primary races this season.
