Detroit Red Wings captain to serve as honorary pace car driver:

Detroit Red Wings captain Nicklas Lidstrom will serve as the honorary pace car driver for the race. This will be Lidstroms first visit to MIS, and he will also take part in pre-race ceremonies and the drivers meeting prior to the race. Additionally, Ndamukong Suh, the Detroit Lions first-round draft pick in 2010, will be on hand serving as an honorary official for the race. Suh, who is expected to be an immediate impact player for the Lions this fall, was recently at the Indianapolis 500 and will also be making his first visit to the Irish Hills track on Sunday to participate in pre-race ceremonies.
