#11-Denny Hamlin’s win at Michigan, is his 5th in the first 15 races of the season. This is the 16th time in NASCAR’s modern era (since 1972) that a driver has won five of the first 15 Sprint Cup series races in a season. All but one of those drivers (David Pearson in 1973, when he didn’t run the full schedule) went on to finish in the top three in points. Hamlin joins this list of drivers with five wins in the first 15 races: Greg Biffle, Jeff Gordon, Rusty Wallace, Dale Earnhardt, Bill Elliott, Darrell Waltrip, Cale Yarborough, David Pearson and Richard Petty.(ESPN)(6-16-2010)
