Some Chassis selections for Indianapolis:

  • #1-Jamie McMurray: Jamie McMurray will pilot chassis #905 for the fourth time this weekend at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The chassis was last used in the Coke 600 at Charlotte where McMurray finished second. While running at Dover, where McMurray ran in the top-10 for over half the event, mechanical issues forced a 32nd-place finish. This chassis was also used in March at Atlanta finishing 29th after an on-track incident while running in the top-five.
#2-Kurt Busch, crew chief Steve Addington and the “Blue Deuce” crew are racing their “PRS-728” Miller Lite “Vortex” Dodge this weekend at Indianapolis. The team debuted the car at Charlotte in the May 30 Coca-Cola 600, where Busch started on the outside pole and posted a dominant victory. Busch later named the car “Vortex,” as a tribute to his sponsor’s special packaging that adorned the team’s Dodge Chargers in the two weeks at Charlotte. The “PRS-715” will serve as the backup Miller Lite “Vortex” Dodge for this weekend. It has been raced only once, in the April Phoenix race, where Busch started 19th and finished 35th.
