Rogers & team headed to trucks in 2011?

It is appearing more and more likely that Hampton Roads will house a Camping World Truck Series team during the 2011 season. Jamie Mosley, crew chief of Lamb & Robinson Motorsports in Cheseapeake, said he is virtually certain his team will compete in NASCAR’s third most popular series on a near regular basis next season. For now, the team and driver Clay Rogers will continue their pursuit of the USAR Pro Cup Series championship. Rogers might not be the kind of young guy Cup Series sponsors are looking for, but Mosley thinks he’ll be a great television presence in the Truck Series marketing the team’s sponsors: construction materials-oriented companies USG, Building Specialties and Tidewater Interior Products. Mosley said Lamb & Robinson expects to run 15-to-20 of 25 Truck Series races next season. And, in a series where most of the cars are garaged in the Charlotte area, Lamb & Robinson will prepare for every truck from its garage in Chesapeake.(DailyPress.com)(8-14-2010)
