#1-Jamie McMurray: Crew Chief Kevin ‘Bono’Â Manion and the #1 McDonalds Chevy team has elected to bring a brand new chassis #1016 this weekend to the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
#2-Kurt Busch and his Steve Addington-led ‘Blue Deuce’Â team will be racing their ‘PRS-704’Â Miller Lite Dodge this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The team debuted this car on Feb. 21 at Auto Club Speedway, where Busch started 12th and finished sixth. This chassis was utilized one other time since then when Busch started fourth and finished sixth in the June 6 race at Pocono Raceway.
#5-Mark Martin: crew chief Alan Gustafson has chosen Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 5-550 for Sunday night’s race at Atlanta. Martin drove this chassis to an 11th-place finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway last month and to a seventh-place finish at Pocono Raceway the following week. Sunday’s race will be Martin’s 50th Cup start at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
#6-David Ragan: Primary: RK-617 Last ran Chicago ‘Â finished 12th; Backup: RK-620 Last ran Vegas ‘Â finished 23rd. The Roswell Center (SLIC ‘Â 3034) in the South Atlantic District was selected as the UPS Maximum Center for the September NASCAR race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The Roswell Center is the number one rated center in Georgia and is recognized for its exceptional service performance.
#12-Brad Keselowski: The #12 Penske Dodge Charger team will use chassis PRS-733 during Sunday nights Emory Healthcare 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Keselowski drove this chassis to a 20th-place finish at Pocono Raceway in August.
#14-Tony Stewart: Chassis No. 14-515: This car is a carryover chassis from the former Haas CNC team, but it was essentially rebuilt since failing to qualify for the November 2008 race at Texas. Prior to Texas, Chassis No. 14-515 made two starts, with its debut coming in August at Michigan finishing 31st with Tony Raines driving. Raines was again at the wheel at Kansas finishing 23rd. The 2009 Sprint All-Star Race at Charlotte marked the third career start with Stewart at the controls to take the cars first victory as well as the first win of any kind for Stewart-Haas Racing. Last years Brickyard 400 was the cars first point-paying start of 2009, where it qualified seventh and led two laps before finishing a solid third. In 2010 it was run at Darlington where Stewart finished 23rd. The chassis returned to the track at Pocono in August finishing second.
#17-Matt Kenseth: Primary: RK-694 (Last raced at Indianapolis). This weekend at Atlanta, Kenseth will pilot the #17 Crown Royal Black Ford Fusion.
#18-Kyle Busch: Chassis No. 274: Sunday nights Emory Healthcare 500 will be the second-ever start for No. 274. This maiden voyage for this chassis came in the July Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where Busch started 23rd and brought home a solid eighth-place finish.
#19-Elliott Sadler: The #19 RPM team has prepared chassis No. 280 for this weekends event. This is the same Ford Fusion the team utilized for the Indianapolis event, the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte and the spring event in Atlanta.
#20-Joey Logano: and the #20 Home Depot Team is taking chassis #281 this weekend for the Emory Healthcare 500. This is a new chassis for the team that will make its debut this weekend. The back-up chassis is #272 which has competed in three races in 2010: Chicagoland (18th), Charlotte (16th) and in June at Michigan (10th). Welcome aboard The Home Depot associates from store # 8452 from Hadley, Mass., and store #6978 from Suwanee, Ga. The store numbers will ride along with Logano on The Home Depot Toyota this weekend at Atlanta.
#29-Kevin Harvick: will pilot Chassis No. 288 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. Earlier in the year, this Chevy scored a win at Michigan in August. Additionally, Harvick scored runner-up finishes at Indianapolis and at Auto Club, finished ninth at Atlanta, and finished seventh at Dover. The Shell-Pennzoil team raced this chassis three times in the latter part of the 2009 season, finishing 18th at Charlotte, fifth at Texas and third at Homestead.
#31-Jeff Burton: will race Chassis No. 314 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. This is a brand new Caterpillar Impala that will be put through its initial paces this weekend.
#33-Clint Bowyer: will pilot Chassis No. 310 from the Richard Childress Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series stable. Built new in 2010, Bowyer drove this Chevrolet Impala to fourth-place finish in the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in July.
#42-Juan Pablo Montoya: Crew Chief Brian Pattie and the #42 team are bringing chassis #1003 to Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, marking the third race of the season for this chassis. Montoya previously ran this chassis at Chicagoland where he qualified 10th and finished 16th and in the Coke 600 where he finished 38th due to an on-track incident.
#43-A.J. Allmendinger: The #43 RPM team led by crew chief Mike Shiplett has prepared chassis No. 276 for this weekends event at Atlanta Motor Speedway. This car was run on two other occasions this season. Allmendinger drove it in the Indianapolis and Martinsville events.
#48-Jimmie Johnson: Chassis No. 592 will be the primary for Sunday night’s event. Johnson last piloted that car to a 10th-place finish at Pocono in July. Back up chassis No. 553 has collected three wins in four starts ‘Â the most recent coming at Auto Club Speedway in February.
#88-Dale Earnhardt Jr.: Crew chief Lance McGrew and the #88 engineers will unload Hendrick Motorsports Chassis No. 88-612. This is a brand new chassis that has not been raced.
#98-Paul Menard: Crew chief Slugger Labbe and the #98 RPM crew have prepared chassis No. 683 for this weekends event. This is the same car the team ran at both events at Michigan, the May Charlotte races and the Auto Club Speedway race early in the season.
#99-Carl Edwards: The #99 will carry the silver Aflac paint scheme at Atlanta this weekend. The #99 crew will unload RK-702 which is a brand new Ford Fusion.(from team PR’s/sites if reported)(9-3-2010)
