Kyle Busch posted a new NASCAR track record in testing at Gresham Motorsports Park Wednesday wheeling his #18 Toyota Tundra NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entry to a lap of 16.992 seconds. The blazing lap marked the first time a full-size NASCAR vehicle turned a sub 17-second lap on the GMP half-mile oval. Jamie McMurray holds the GMP NASCAR Sprint Cup testing record with a lap of 17.361 seconds while Martin Truex, Jr. has been the fastest NASCAR Nationwide car at GMP to date with a 17.295-second lap. Finally, Brendan Gaughan has been the fastest in testing the new Nationwide COT car with a time of 17.598 seconds.(Gresham Motorsports Park)(10-7-2010)
