DJ Kennington, NASCAR’s newest National Champion in the Canadian Tire Series, will ride the high into Martinsville, VA with Rick Ware Racing in the #47 Kids Embrace Chevrolet for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Kroger 200 from the Martinsville Speedway on Saturday. “Winning the championship in Canada has been a long road for me, and to finally have that moment, it’s indescribable. To have my crew and family there to celebrate the ultimate accomplishment and all those years of hard work is a memory I’ll never forget,” Kennington explained. Kennington drove for RWR at Martinsville in the spring of this year. “There is a lot in the mix for me in 2011 with Rick Ware Racing and Fuel Doctor. Winning the championship has opened doors for me to do more racing, both back home and in the US. UPDATE: 2010 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series Champion, DJ Kennington was scheduled to make his second career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series at Martinsville this weekend for RWR has substitute driver EC Falk taking his place. “Being a Champion has its benefits,” stated owner Rick Ware. “DJ had some sponsorship relations take place over the last part of the week. In the business, sponsors are first priority.
