#56-Martin Truex Jr. and NAPA are again joining Susan G. Komen for the Cure to honor breast cancer victims, survivors and supporters during this weekend’s NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway. Over 2,400 fan-submitted names of breast cancer survivors and supporters adorn Truex’s #56 NAPA Signature Toyota. The paint scheme culminates a three-week NAPA Know How Facebook campaign where fans made a minimum contribution of $5.60 to place a pink-lettered name on the Michael Waltrip Racing Toyota. Names in white signified a donation of $560 or more. The project raised $51,000. NAPA raised addition funds with the sale of NAPA All Out for the Cure limited edition hats [sold out] at participating NAPA Auto Parts stores and AutoCare Centers. Truex and NAPA Auto Parts will present a $250,000 donation to Susan G. Komen for the Cure during Sunday’s 1:00 pm NASCAR Race Day on SPEED broadcast. Truex will host Marcia Potter Dluhy of McKinney, Texas on Sunday. She is a breast cancer survivor who was diagnosed in 2007 with Stage 2 breast cancer. She’s been in remission for two years. Her name is on the NAPA Signature Toyota (MWR)(11-3-2010)
