UPDATE: Sirius NASCAR Radios Sirius Speedway with Dave Moody has learned that Brendan Gaughan will compete on the Camping World Truck Series next season, running for the series championship in a new #62 Toyota Tundra fielded by Germain Racing and sponsored by the South Point Resort and Casino. Multiple sources confirmed that the deal was completed earlier this week, with an announcement expected as soon as this weekend at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Rumors have circulated concerning a possible return by Gaughan to the Truck Series, and the Las Vegas native commented on those reports in a Twitter posting earlier this week saying, I will drive the #62 South Point Toyota next season. He has eight career NCWTS wins; six of them coming during a 2003 season that saw him finish fourth in points behind champion Travis Kvapil. Gaughan has spent the last two seasons with Rusty Wallace Racing on the NASCAR Nationwide Series, and currently ranks 11h in points with three Top-5 and eight Top-10 finishes in 34 starts. He will run next season as a teammate to newly crowned NCWTS champion Todd Bodine. UPDATE: Officials of Rusty Wallace Racing (RWR) announced that Iowa native, Michael Annett, will take the helm of the teams #62 Toyota Camry in a full-season bid for the 2011 NASCAR Nationwide Series championship. Pilot Travel Centers, a long-time Annett backer, will serve as primary sponsor of Annetts #62 Toyota for his 2011 campaign. Annett, a 24-year old native of Des Moines, Iowa, will be embarking upon his third full Nationwide Series season in 2011. Considered one of the sports’ most promising up and coming drivers, Annett finished among the top-10 in the Nationwide Series driver standings during his 2009 rookie season. He also has two ARCA Racing Series wins to his credit, including a victory in the series most prestigious event at Daytona in 2008.(RWR)(11-19-2010)
