Cale Gale of Mobile has landed a sponsored ride for six NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this year. The 25-year-old — a promising young talent who fell victim to the recession and the lack of sponsorship dollars in racing — will drive the No. 2 Chevy Silverado for Kevin Harvick Inc. thanks to sponsorship from Rheem, the AC/heating company. Gale, who was named after three-time NASCAR champion Cale Yarborough, will compete at Nashville in April, Texas in June and Iowa in July. In October he will drive at Kentucky, Las Vegas and at Talladega. Rheem is also sponsoring Gale in several super late model races this season, including The Rattler in March at South Alabama Speedway, the Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola in December, at Gresham Motorsports Park in Georgia and at the recently reopened North Wilkesboro Speedway in North Carolina.(AL.com)(2-5-2011)
