Four-time champion Ron Hornaday is heading into Kansas Speedway with an extra bit of motivation. The Kevin Harvick Inc. driver is credited with one win (2008), three poles, three top-five and four top-10 finishes in six starts at the 1.5-mile D-shaped oval. Hornaday held an average position of 1.623 during last year’s race and will be hot to get to Kansas’s victory lane during Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts 250. On board the No. 33 Chevrolet this weekend will be Anderson’s Maple Syrup from north woods Wisconsin. The third-generation family-owned and operated business built its foundation on pure American-made syrup. Anderson’s will make its debut for the team as primary sponsor at Kansas but will again join the team later this season on October 22 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
