#14-Eric McClure, who was taken to Halifax hospital after an accident in the Subway Jalapeno 250 at Daytona International Speedway, was released Friday night. He posted on Facebook, “I have a concussion and am quite sore but otherwise ok. Guys build safe cars and nascar medical team is great.” He will need to be cleared by NASCAR to drive Friday night at Kentucky.(7-2-2011)
UPDATE: Following a hard crash in Daytona that left him with a mild concussion, Eric McClure has received medical clearance to compete at Kentucky Speedway; the race will mark 155th -career Nationwide Series start and his sixth at the 1.5-mile facility.(TMR)(7-5-2011)
