Two-time World of Outlaws Late Model Series champion Josh Richards will make his first career start in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series this week in Thursday’s UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway. Joining forces with the reigning NCWTS owners’ champions, Richards will pilot the Kyle Busch Motorsports No. 15 Joy Mining Machinery Toyota Tundra in his debut in the series. The 23-year-old West Virginia native is scheduled to compete in several races under the Kyle Busch Motorsports and Joy Mining Machinery banners throughout the remainder of the 2011 NCWTS season. New to the NASCAR community, Joy Mining Machinery will also be making their debut in Thursday’s 150 lap NCWTS event. Joy Mining Machinery has over 90 years of experience as a global leader in the development, manufacture, distribution and service of underground mining machinery for the extraction of coal and other bedded materials. Richards has one career start on Kentucky Speedway’s 1.5 mile oval in the ARCA Racing Series where he qualified fourth in 2009. Preparing for his NASCAR debut, the weekly dirt racer has made two pavement attempts this season in the ARCA Racing Series.
