Goodyear tire notes — Iowa:

This is the same combination of left- and right-side tires NASCAR Nationwide teams ran at Iowa earlier this season . . . both of these tire codes are unique to this track . . . this combination of left- and right-side tires came out of a Goodyear tire test at Iowa in April . . . drivers participating in that test were Todd Bodine in a Camping World Truck and Reed Sorenson in a Nationwide car . . . compared to what truck teams ran at Iowa last season, this tire set-up features softer compounds on both sides . . . there is also a slight construction change to the right-side tire and a mold shape change to the left-side tire to help keep the stagger in line . . . as on most NASCAR ovals one mile or less in length, teams will not run inner liners in their tires at Iowa.(Goodyear PR) [Complete tire specs are posted on the Iowa Race Page.](7-14-2011)
