Turn One Racing announced today that 18 year-old Southern Florida late model standout Ross Chastain has been selected to pilot the No. 66 Chevrolet in next Friday night’s 17th Annual AAA Insurance 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis. The truck will carry sponsorship from the National Watermelon Promotion Board. The organization, which is based in Orlando, Fla.represents 1,500 watermelon growers, shippers and importers. Although this will be the first start for Chastain in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, it is not the first exposure to NASCAR for the NWPB. In 2009, the NWPB was thrilled at the opportunity to promote National Watermelon Month on Danny O’Quinn, Jr.’s car at the Indianapolis short track. In addition to sponsorship from the NWPB, Chastain’s Chevrolet will also carry the colors of Melon 1 and JDI Farms.(Turn One Racing PR)(7-20-2011)
