Austin Dillon has one previous start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway (September 2010) and is the track’s defending pole and race winner. Dillon will pilot chassis No. 006 from the Richard Childress Racing NCWTS stable this weekend at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dillon has raced this chassis three times in 2011, most recently at Kentucky Speedway on October 1, where he finished second after earning the pole award. He also drove this Chevrolet Silverado at Kentucky Speedway in July, where he finished 14th after starting second and at Kansas Speedway in June, where he earned the pole before finishing 12th. Dillon drove this #3 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet four times in 2010, with the best finish coming at LVMS when the then rookie driver claimed his second career NCWTS victory. Point of interest – Crew chief Danny Stockman’s first NCWTS job was as a mechanic with Las Vegas-based Orleans racing at the age of 19. Now 29, the crew chief has celebrated two NCWTS championships as a truck chief for Ron Hornaday at Kevin Harvick, Inc. and has enjoyed three wins and 12 pole awards with Dillon over the last two seasons at RCR. Truck chief Robert Stamiska also previously worked for Orleans Racing.(Richard Childress Racing PR)(10-11-2011)
